RESIDENCIES
ACEAA supports artist residency programmes that create spaces for artistic research, experimentation and exchange. Through different approaches to contemporary practice, these programmes encourage artists to develop projects in close dialogue with materials, traditional knowledge, landscape and the natural environment. Each residency offers a distinct context for creation while sharing an interest in interdisciplinary practice, environmental awareness and new relationships between art, culture and place.
RAINBOW ART RESIDENCIES
Art, craft & material knowledge
Rainbow Art Residencies is an international programme bringing
together contemporary artistic practice, traditional craftsmanship
and material knowledge.
The programme offers artists, designers and makers an environment
in which to develop personal creative projects while engaging directly with
artisans, materials and traditional processes. Through learning by making,
residents can explore practices ranging from ceramics, ironwork, glass and stone
to textiles, jewellery, photography and performance.
By placing inherited craft knowledge in dialogue with contemporary artistic research,
Rainbow Art Residencies encourages experimentation, cultural exchange and new ways of
understanding the relationships between materials, creative practice and the natural environment.

LA NATURALEZA DEL PAISAJE
Art, landscape & ecological research
La Naturaleza del Paisaje is an artist residency programme and platform for
contemporary artistic research developed in the Montes de Toledo since 2017.
Located within an extensive Mediterranean landscape near Cabañeros National Park,
the programme invites artists to inhabit, observe and investigate the territory
through practices that connect art, ecology, memory and culture. Residencies provide
a context for field research, experimentation and artistic production in direct contact
with the dynamics of the natural environment.
Conceived as a laboratory for creation in the landscape, La Naturaleza del Paisaje
promotes environmentally conscious artistic practices and encourages critical reflection
on the relationships between human activity, ecosystems and territory..
