ACEAA explores how architecture and artistic collaborative practices can contribute to more sustainable, inclusive and biodiverse ways of inhabiting.
ACEAA – Espacio Arte y Acción is an interdisciplinary cultural and research association based in Madrid,
working at the intersection of art, architecture, design, science and society.
The association brings together artists, architects, researchers and cultural practitioners
to develop projects that explore contemporary environmental, spatial and social challenges through
research, experimentation and collaborative practices.
ACEAA works across complementary fields including artistic and architecture research, bioarchitecture,
biomaterials, biodesign, biodiversity, participatory practices and more-than-human approaches to the built environment.
Our activities include exhibitions, workshops, residencies, research projects, publications, collaborative
programmes and experimental spatial practices.
We are particularly interested in projects that connect
cultural production with ecological transition, new forms of inhabiting, environmental awareness and public participation.
ACEAA understands art, architecture and design as interconnected tools
for transforming the relationships between people, spaces, materials, technologies and living systems.
Through national and international collaborations, we seek to contribute to more sustainable,
inclusive, biodiverse and culturally meaningful environments.
